Joni graduated from Georgia State University, with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2000 and her Master of Science in Professional Counseling in 2007. She has over 25 years of experience in Behavioral Health. She has worked in Residential, Inpatient, Outpatient, Rehab, and Private Practice settings. Joni has worked with individuals, couples, and families of all ages. She has served children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and military experiencing Behavioral, Mood, Psychotic, Neurodevelopmental, Personality, Substance Abuse, Dual, and Adjustment Disorders. Joni also has extensive experience working with multicultural and diverse populations.
Joni uses a Client-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral approach to help support and guide her clients to self-discovery and desired change. She strives to provide a safe, relaxed, non-judgmental counseling environment to accurately assess and treat clients. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is key to promoting healing and growth.
Joni was born and raised in Metro Atlanta. She currently lives in Peachtree City with her husband and four children. She enjoys spending time outdoors going on adventures, reading, coaching and watching her kids in sports, fishing, and supporting her local college and professional sports teams.
