Alfonso Martinez

Ph.D., ABPP

Dr. Martinez moved with his family to Peachtree City in 2007 and started The Neuropsychology Center. He brought with him nearly a decade of clinical experience in neuropsychology, and he was one of only a handful of board-certified neuropsychologists in the entire state of Georgia. He has been providing services in the same Peachtree City location since that time.

Dr. Martinez earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Purdue University in 1997. He interned at the University of Chicago Medical Center and then completed two years of neuropsychology fellowship at the University of Miami Medical Center. He practiced neuropsychology in Southwest Florida for 8 years before moving to this area.

Dr. Martinez was born in Miami Beach to immigrant Cuban parents. He is fully English-Spanish bilingual. He met his wife, Leslie, at Purdue University and they have been married for 30 years. He has two young adult children. His son Evan is a Purdue Boilermaker, and his daughter Claire is a Georgia Dawg. In his spare time, Dr. Martinez enjoys walking on the cart paths, going to the gym, working on his cabin, drinking an IPA at a local brewery, and streaming PBS series.
